There wasn’t much light left and I was changing on a bench along the bay by Marina Green. The long stretch of grass was all set up for America’s Cup, the boat race this weekend and my sister and I raced to get this shoot done before the sun set. I’ve been a little camera shy for a while (to say the least) but taking photographs of potential outfits for this weekend with my best friend made the whole thing fun, instead of awkward. She and I have an awkward sense of humor anyway. For example there were people running by as I was changing and my sister bluntly said “you’re in a sports bra, it’s fine.” Meagan was wearing her long blonde hair in a sumo like bun atop her head and I just couldn’t stop smiling inside at the hilarity of it all. Two girls in their mid twenties taking pictures by the boats that weren’t sailing and racing to get it all done before it got too dark.
