Outside Lands may take place in our charming Golden Gate Park, but it brings together the likes of international musicians, and a crowd so diverse it’s hard to imagine they’re all there for the same music. Here’s a handful of attendees, all from different walks of life (and parts of the country) brought together by the music, the city and an eff’n great time.
“Outside Lands was AMAZING. Absolutely worth the flight up from LA and the crazy-long lines to get in. It was so great getting to see such an awesome line-up and such a fun event. Tons of friends from all over Cali made it and we had an incredible weekend together.” -Abby Varinsky, Los Angeles, CA
“It was three days of non stop music, running into old friends, and delicious food from Andalu. Even though I couldn’t make calls to anyone, all and all I’d say it was one of the best weekends ever, not to mention the perfect occasion to dirty up my Chuck Taylors.” -Meagan Ruiz, Marina, SF
“This was my last weekend in SF before I went back East for school. It was great to have a whole weekend just to hang out with my friends, see some great bands, and of course hit up the wine tent!” -Jenn Mattson, Pittsburgh, PA
“The highlights of my Outside Lands weekend were seeing one of my favorite bands Dispatch, and discovering new music such as White Denim and Portugal. The Man. The food was as delicious as the music, too– with sweet potato fries from Pacific Catch to a vanilla chocolate cupcake from Kara’s. An overall fantastic weekend.” -Gillian Croen, Mission, SF
“You can’t tell in the pic, but I wore black skinnies, a black crop top, vintage black and gold shirt and San Franpsycho sunglasses” – Megan Mobley, San Francisco, CA
And there you have it, five different groups of ladies meshed together in one park, all having an amazing and unforgettable experience at Outside Lands. I know this girl wouldn’t have survived without the music, friends, food, and my comfy tsubo boat shoes.
